Throughout the day, world leaders have been descending the steps of their jets after landing at Kazan's international airport. The Chinese president Xi Jinping, India's Prime Minister Modi, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian are among those receiving warm Russian embraces upon their arrival. The summit's host, Vladimir Putin, has already held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Both leaders pledged further co-operation between their nations with an aim to bring more stability to the quickly changing world. India's prime Minister Narendra Modi also sat down for talks with the Russian president noting rising co-operation between their nations. The Indian premier said efforts must be made to peacefully to resolve the war in Ukraine, adding the BRICS group has grown into its own identity.
