War racket EXPLAINED: Business booming for US 'defense' contractors (Full show)

Despite stock market turmoil in other sectors, defense contractors Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and Raytheon are doing good business. Meanwhile, the US outspends Russia by a factor of ten on its military. The US military budget is more than the next nine countries combined. RT America’s Faran Fronczak explains why Washington’s predictions about an “impending Russian invasion” don’t add up, given the multibillion-dollar business of war central to the US role in world affairs. Russian and US military aircraft flew within five feet of one another high above the international waters of the Eastern Mediterranean. Several such interactions occurred over the weekend. Another incident occurred over Syria, according to anonymous officials, while another tense US-Russian encounter happened in the Pacific. At a time of heightened tension between the superpowers, such encounters can have tremendous and terrible implications. Luckily, the incident didn’t rise to the level of open hostility.
