Cold War Weapons | MiG Fighters: Episode 1

In the 1960s, it seemed space was about to become a theatre of war between the two superpowers. Both Soviet and American scientists were tasked with the creation of a space plane capable of eliminating satellites and enemy missiles.

The Soviet ‘Bor’ was one of the first successful planes for space combat. In 1982, during tests, the plane splashed into the Indian Ocean where the Soviet military needed to retrieve it as quickly as possible before NATO ships had a chance to snatch it out of the water. Who succeeded in catching ‘Bor’ first?
