We Are Different
Hulya has a genetic disorder, and although doctors have studied her disease, it still has no cure. She has what is commonly described as split hands and feet, and only a few steps make her tired. Before she was six, Hulya had 20 operations, and her legs were amputated when she was 18. Yet, she is known for her cheerful nature among friends and is a loving wife and mother. Hulya’s husband Dennis is a photographer, and together, they create photoshoots showing real beauty goes beyond physical shortcomings. Hulya has proven that if a person wants to live and be happy, they can, no matter what. Watch our film and learn about the fantastic stories of our heroes who had genetic disorders but managed to see past them and enjoy life.
